How did you first meet?

We met on bumble, when we were both living in London.

How long were you together before you proposed? How did you propose?

Just under 3 years. James took me to my favourite place in Battersea Park by the Golden Budda. He proposed by the river at sunset.

Where did you get married?

Oldwalls Gower

What attracted you to the venue?

We’d heard lots of good things about the venue. We live in Swansea and had been to a wedding at Fairyhill before, so we knew what to expect from the quality. We thought we’d pop down to their showcase and took my mother-in-law. She didn’t give us an option not to book, she loved Oldwalls, and we loved it too.

What did you have for food and how was it?

The food was amazing! We had the duck spring roll to start, the lamb for main and James had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I can’t have any dairy, so I had the vegan chocolate mousse.

What was your wedding theme?

We didn’t really have a theme, just autumnal florals. We just wanted people to get drunk and have fun!

What stationary did you have?

We had a timeline and a welcome sign. We also had a seating plan, place names with the food choices on back and table numbers.

What did you wear? Tell us about your gown…

I found a shop in Swansea, La Grazia Bridal, a week before the store she was closing, so we went there to see what samples they had and if they had any deals. I tried this dress on, and I knew it was the one. Plus, I had an amazing discount – Dream!

Was it your dress what you had in mind?

Not at all, I thought I’d go for something different, long sleeve, and short.

How did your dress make you feel?

I felt really glam! I’m usually a jean and T-shirt kind of gal, I’m not used to wearing something like that.

Where did you get the suits from and what was the style like?

Dyfed menswear

How did you feel when you first saw him at the altar?

He looked so handsome. I was stressing out as our 2-year-old was upset, but as soon as I saw James, I calmed and thought lets just walked down and everything will be okay.

Tell us about your bridesmaids, who were they and where did you get the dresses from?

I asked my two sisters and my cousin, but one of my sisters fell pregnant and couldn’t make it to the wedding as she’d just given birth. We got black jumpsuits from Reece, and the girls got to pick whatever style jumpsuit they wanted. I also had three flower girls, my daughter, and nieces on either side. Their dresses were from next.

What was your best memory of the ceremony?

Our daughter stopped James putting the ring on me, it was hilarious. After the ceremony we went upstairs to the gallery room for some quiet time, just us and our daughter, it was nice to have some time alone and watch everyone together.

What was your first dance song?

Baby I’m Amazed by Paul McCartney.

How did you entertain your guests?

We had a string quartet and a magician who was one of the guests and LOTS of drinks. We also had Oldwalls DJ which was included in our package.

What was the cake like?

We opted for doughnuts, and they were SO good. We had a few flavours on the doughnut wall; Lemon, raspberry and Biscoff.

How did you feel on the day?

There was a lot of mixed of emotions. It felt like it went too quick, we just wanted it to slow down.

Have you been on your honeymoon yet, if yes, where did you go and how was it?

Not yet, we don’t have anything planned. We need to sort it! We’ll do something this year which will include lots of sun and somewhere our 2-year-old will be happy.

What’s your top tip to future couples getting married?

Don’t worry about the little details because on the day you won’t notice them!

I could have spent loads of money on little touches which would have gone over peoples heads.
