A magical evening of creativity, community, and compassion unfolded at Fairyhill in Gower as a charity ball themed Arts for Advocacy raised an incredible £10,000 for Swansea Women’s Aid (SWA).
The event was brought to life by the vision and dedication of local organiser Marelie Mey, who united community members, artists, and businesses for a night that beautifully blended art with advocacy. Guests came together to enjoy captivating performances, bid on unique artworks, and raise vital funds for a life-saving cause.
A Celebration of Community and Creativity
The evening was filled with unforgettable moments. Guests were treated to breathtaking performances, including a show-stopping set by Justine Afante, winner of The Voice UK 2020, while the room sparkled with artwork and prizes generously donated by local artists and businesses.
Adding to the evening’s unique charm was a creative draw-along activity, engaging everyone in the spirit of the arts. The night also featured exciting raffles and auctions with standout prizes, including:
- A rustic lodge stay at Fairyhill
- A luxury getaway at the Swansea Marriott Hotel
- Exclusive tickets and merchandise from Swansea City Football Club
The response was overwhelming. Between ticket sales, raffles, and the auctions, an incredible £9,130 was raised, with Fairyhill stepping in to top up the total to a fantastic £10,000.
