We at Oldwalls Gower are excited to announce our plans to redevelop into a five-star tourism destination in 2026. This transformation will allow us, as part of The Oldwalls Collection, to pour our expertise and investment into our flagship wedding venues, Fairyhill and Sant Ffraed House, while Oldwalls Gower evolves to serve a new audience.

It will be business as usual for Oldwalls Gower until 2026, with our fantastic team dedicated to delivering our 2025 weddings to the exceptional standards for which we are known for. Following this, our venue will emerge as a luxury staycation destination, providing additional accommodation options for wedding guests attending events at Fairyhill and other popular venues throughout Gower.

We have already reached out to our couples with weddings booked at Oldwalls Gower for 2026 and beyond, offering a range of options to best support their needs. Couples are welcome to bring their date forward into 2025 at Oldwalls, transfer their booking to Fairyhill with a cost freeze, switch to Sant Ffraed House, or request a full refund. With Fairyhill only minutes away, we anticipate that many will choose this convenient alternative.

Andrew Hole, Managing Director of The Oldwalls Collection, shared, “We are conscious of the impact this decision may have on our lovely couples and hope that by providing over 18 months’ notice, they will have the time to carefully consider the several options we are providing.”

Oldwalls Gower was initially founded as a tourism venue in 2007 and was transformed into a wedding destination in 2010. It quickly became one of Wales’ most popular wedding venues, prompting us to expand our collection with the addition of Fairyhill in 2017. This iconic destination in Gower, a Grade II-listed former luxury hotel, was reimagined with a purpose-built £1 million extension known as “The K Room,” specifically designed for wedding receptions.

In 2021, we launched our third venue, Sant Ffraed House, in response to rising wedding demand during the pandemic. With over a decade of experience and significant investment, we created the ideal venue, also complete with a ‘K Room.’

Andrew continued, “We injected Oldwalls Gower’s award-winning formula into Fairyhill and Sant Ffraed House to create arguably the best wedding venues in Wales, and we are excited to plough further investment and expertise into the continued success of them both. With our two newer venues soaring, the time has come to diversify Oldwalls Gower’s offering and explore new opportunities for our founding location.”

From coast to country, The Oldwalls Collection has proudly pioneered Gower’s vibrant wedding community. With Oldwalls Gower shifting to appeal to a broader audience and the continued growth of Fairyhill, we will maintain a strong presence in this iconic region. Additionally, Sant Ffraed House, located in the charming market town of Abergavenny, allows us to serve South East Wales, and both of our wedding venues are forecasted for a record-breaking year in 2025.
